Ent\u00e4 milt\u00e4 n\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 ihmisen otteen ylitt\u00e4v\u00e4 kuvallinen toimijuus \u2013 kuinka meit\u00e4 ymp\u00e4r\u00f6iv\u00e4 luonto tai aineellinen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6 tallentaa toi-mintamme seurauksia?<\/p>\n<p><em>Julmaa Valoa<\/em>, Backlight-festivaalin vuoden 2023 teema, antaa valokuvan ja liikkuvan kuvan keinoin tilaa aineellisen ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6mme hiljaisille todistajille: erilaiset elementit radioaktiivisesta s\u00e4teilyst\u00e4 ilmansaateisiin, kylmyydest\u00e4 mineraaliteollisuuden j\u00e4\u00e4nteisiin, muuntuvat n\u00e4yttelyn teoksissa kuvallisiksi toimijoiksi. N\u00e4in erilaiset v\u00e4kivallan ulottuvuudet ihmisen aikahorisontin ylitt\u00e4vist\u00e4 hitaista prosesseista \u00e4killisiin geopoliittisiin konflikteihin tulevat esille kuvien kautta.
