Visual Catalysts is the special exhibition of the Backlight Photo Festival 2020. The exhibition will take place September 26 – October 18th, 2020 at the Tampere Culture House Laikku art space.
Through their works in the Visual Catalysts exhibition, the artists create an understanding on the possibilities of art as a force of change in the future. This will help us see the present day through critical eyes, and activates our minds to act towards a more sustainable future.
The exhibition is produced by CICAT2025, a joint project of Finnish universities. Visual Catalysts is curated by Dr. Juha Suonpää from Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK).
Altogether 37 artists were selected from 19 different countries. We now have the great pleasure to announce the Visual Catalysts artists to you!
